Station removal requests - Wookie-Radio

Wookie-Radio is a radio player. It does not host or rebroadcast stations: it plays each station's own public stream. Only two stations are built into the app: Radio 357 and Polskie Radio Trojka. Every other station is added by a user from a public directory (radio-browser.info) or typed in by the user. Station names and logos belong to their owners, and Wookie Radio is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any station. Podcast covers come from each show's own feed.

If you run or represent a station and want it removed, or want its logo removed, tell us.

Who can use this page

Use this page if you are a station owner or its representative, a podcast publisher, a rights holder for a logo, a trademark or music, or anyone who finds content in the app that you believe breaks the law or your rights. You do not need a lawyer and you do not need sworn statements: this page is a plain notice-and-action route.

Send a removal request

Fill in the form below. Please include: the station name and, if you can, its stream address or its radio-browser.info page; whether you want the whole station removed or only the logo; and who you are and how you are connected to the station (owner, employee, agent). A reply from a station address is enough; we do not need legal paperwork.

What a notice should contain

To let us act quickly and correctly, please include in the same request:

1. Who you are: your name, your company or station, your role, and a reply e-mail address (an address at the station's own domain helps us confirm).
2. What you want removed: the station or show name and, where you can, its stream address, feed address or radio-browser.info page, and what exactly (the whole station, the logo only, a show, artwork).
3. Why: which right you say is affected (for example you own or run the station, or you hold the copyright or trademark in the material), and where we can see proof of that (a link is enough).
4. A good-faith statement: that you believe in good faith that the use you complain about is not allowed by the owner of the right, its agent or the law.
5. An accuracy statement: that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the owner of the right or authorised to act for the owner.

A notice that lacks some of this is still read, but we may ask you for more before we act. We do not need a handwritten or sworn statement from you. Please do not send a notice that you know is false: a false notice can have legal consequences for the sender under the law that applies to you.

What we do

• We confirm receipt within 2 working days.
• Within 7 days we remove the station (or its logo) from the app's built-in list and add it to a blocklist inside the app, so it cannot be added again, even from the directory. Users who already added it will no longer see it after they update the app.
• We reply to tell you it is done.

Removal from the app does not remove the station from public directories such as radio-browser.info; to change that, contact the directory. If a station's address points to a stream you do not control or that is wrongly listed, say so in the same request and we handle it the same way.

Other rights holders (a podcast, a logo, a trademark, a music claim): use the same form with the details and we will respond in the same way.

Our response time

We confirm receipt within 2 working days and complete a valid removal within 7 days (the same promise as above). If we need more information, or if a request is unclear or looks unfounded, we tell you why within the same 7 days instead of staying silent. We never ask you to pay or to sign up anywhere.

If you think a removal was wrong (counter-notice)

If a station, show or logo you added or published was removed after a notice and you believe this was a mistake, use the same form and write "Counter-notice" at the start of your request. Include: what was removed, why you believe the notice was mistaken or that you have the right to it, and your contact details. We pass the substance of your reply to the sender of the notice and decide again. We may restore the item if the claim was wrong or is withdrawn, or keep it removed if the doubt remains. Where a court or authority decides otherwise, we follow that decision. This page does not take away any right you have to go to court or to an authority.

Repeat problems

We remove access for a user or a source that repeatedly adds content that is found to break the rights of others. Because the app has no accounts, this works through the blocklist in the app: an address or station that was removed after a justified notice stays blocked, and a source that is repeatedly the subject of justified notices can be blocked as a whole.

Station owners: ask to be listed, or change your logo

Station owners are welcome to do the opposite too. Use the same form to ask that your station is listed, to give us the best stream address, to send an official logo that you allow us to show, or to ask us to replace or correct an existing logo or name. Say clearly that you are the owner or its agent. We use only logos you confirm we may use, or a neutral placeholder.
